Sauvignon Blanc “Cuvée Jeanne”

Cebazan, France

“Cuvée Jeanne” refers to “Janie’s Blend”. Janie Master blends this wine.

Origin/Location

This Sauvignon Blanc comes from vineyards near the small village of Cebazan, which is located in the hills north east of Beziers in the Languedoc. The vineyard is meticulously cultivated in order to harvest grapes in perfect condition.

Winemaking

The juice from the crushed grapes stays at 0°C for ten days before fermentation begins in order to produce and enhance its fruity aromas. Fermentation is maintained at 13°C to express all the aromatic potential and to bring balance to the wine. After the fermentation, the wine rests on its lees for a while to achieve more body and fullness. No oak is used in this wine.

Alcohol: 12%

Tasting Notes + Food Paring

Our 2009 Sauvignon Blanc “Cuvee Jeanne” is beautifully balanced and aromatic with suggestions of passion fruit and grapefruit. The palate is crisp and dry but not too acidic with a good depth of flavor. The wine is perfect as an aperitif or with chicken, fish or creamy pasta dishes.
